Aged 11 Dorset based Singer Sophie joined the award winning Highcliffe Junior Choir and under the leadership of Mary Denniss MBE she studied Classical Voice for 7 years.

As a member of the choir Sophie was lucky enough to appear on TV (Songs of Praise, Sainsburys Choir of the Year) and BBC radio.

She was entered into The Southampton Music Festival every year as a solo Soprano, consistently gaining Certificates of Distinction.

Although classically trained, she developed her pop voice at home by teaching herself.
Aged 16 she entered and won The Dorset County Talent Competition. This gave her the confidence to pursue her dream of becoming a Professional Singer. At 17, Sophie found a local guitarist and together they formed an acoustic duo known as 'INDIAN SUMMER'.

Over the years she has notched up an incredibly impressive amount of performances in the United Kingdom as well as on the Channel Islands.

She specialises in singing at private functions and events.

Notably, she has been singing at weddings for over thirteen years, some of her favourite venues to perform in being Highcliffe Castle, Christchurch Priory, The Italian Villa at Compton Acres, The Chewton Glen Hotel, St. Katherine's Church, Southbourne and Moorhill House Hotel, Burley.

Sophie has been the Resident Vocalist at Bliss, The Durley Hall Hotel, Greens, Shorefield Country Park and The Slug and Lettuce.
She has performed in prestigious and beautiful venues including The Bournemouth International Centre, St. Mary’s Stadium, Beaulieu Abbey, Royal Albert Hall, Buxton Opera House, Beau Sejour and St. James Concert and Assembly Hall.
Her corporate performances include Yamaha, Confiance, Northern Trust, Carey Olsen, Royal Guernsey Golf Club, Royal Channel Island Yacht Club, Guernsey Club De Petanque, Marriott and Hilton.

Sophie is also a Songwriter and has recorded her own original material.

In 2012 she began providing voiceover for radio adverts and jingles advertising very well known supermarkets as well as Welsh tourism.

She is thrilled to have provided the voice of 'Leoni' in 'Come Sing The Musicals' an original show by Wye-Ten Theatre Company. She can be heard at every performance of this on its UK tour.
She also performs as various Disney Princesses for companies including Minky Moos and The Brunch Club.

Sophie began her teaching career at a stage school in 2009.  She thoroughly enjoyed working here for two years, and found it especially rewarding seeing her students get into leading London drama schools having assisted them with their auditions.

Following this she became freelance and continues to teach women, men and children age 5+ and has also taught choirs and groups.

In 2012 Sophie moved to Guernsey, Channel Islands where she performed solo, in a duo with a guitarist and joined the popular Motown/Soul female singing trio 'Les Blondettes' for two years.  The trio were in high demand and performed their upbeat retro sets regularly for both private and corporate clients.
Some singing highlights in Guernsey included 'West End Men' alongside Lee Mead, Kerry Ellis, Matt Rawle and Stephen Rahman-Hughes, 'Milestones' alongside Guernsey Jazz Orchestra, 'An Evening Of Northern Soul With Andy Newman (BBC Radio DJ)', 'The 50th anniversary celebration of the Beatles concert at Candie Gardens' broadcast live on BBC radio and '1960's Fest' at Castle Cornet.

Sophie also got to sing on the visually stunning islands of Herm and Sark.

Sophie moved to London in 2015 where she continued her singing career, again performing as an acoustic duo with a guitarist.

The year after this she felt it was time to become a first time home owner, and where better to put down roots than beautiful Dorset.  It is here she can be found happy as clam, teaching lessons from her music room.
